Roma sign Federico Fazio… £2.8m

Roma is one of the the best teams in italy, currently with the transfer window open all of the best and upcoming sensations are getting signed, but let’s talk about Federico Fazio. What we know is that he currently plays (played) for Spurs, which is Tottenham Hotspurs, London. Which means he did play in the Premier League. Spurs have always had a good line up and a very strong position in the Premier League (finishing 2nd in the 2016/2017 season). Fazio plays centre defence or commonly known as centre back, Tottenham have confirmed the sale of Federico Fazio with a big sale!

Federico Fazio, is from Argentina, Buenos Aires. Aged 30, which in football is a very good age. Football has an early retirement age compared to most jobs with players retiring around 40/45 years old, but at the age of 30 Fazio knows that he is in the prime of his career and the move to Roma, is only going to make him an even stronger player.

Roma have paid £2.8 million for Federico Fazio and in my opinion this is a fantastic move. Federico Fazio will bring some spirit to the team and a new out look, you can not fault Roma for wanting Federico Fazio, he is a fantastic player, the moves and spirit he is going bring is going to be insane. The pace on Fazio is crazy, he is named one of the best defenders and he lives up to that, when you watch him play you know that he wants to succeed, his passes are very accurate and he knows where he wants it to go. His skills all combine and give him an advance on other defenders, his speed and his consistency are just some of the things which put him above the skill level other players. Federico Fazio has a goal of wining back to back Europa league, he knows that he is in the prime of his career and I think we have more amazing experience to come from Federico Fazio!

Ernesto Valverde is in line to become Barca’s new coach…

Ernesto Valverde is in line to becoming the next coach at Barcelona, as we all know Barca are an impressive team, it is fantastic to watch they work.

What we know about Ernesto Valverde: he is a Spanish retired footballer, known for his 14 year amazing career. He played for 6 teams in his career of 14 years, one of them teams being barca. He helped the team win the UEFA winners cup (1989) and Copa Del Rey (1990). Valverde has just stepped down as boss at Athletic Bilao. which in line of the new coach getting announced, great timing?

One of the things which will help Valverde, is the fact he is a previous player of Barcelona. Which is what they’re looking for. (massive hint there) but also one of the most amazing things is that when he played for barcelona, he was under Johan Cruyff, the most important figure in he clubs history! he is a legend in the life of barcelona!

my opinion: I feel that he is a good match for the team, he knows how it works being at barcelona, he is a fantastic coach and has some very coaching skills which would benefit the team. lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. with the team currently standing and some of the best players in the world, we need to watch this space as it’s just going to get better!

Brownlee crashes in Japan, but doesn’t stop him pushing on.

Brownlee, one of britians fabulous athletes, who got back into the action in Japan world series. Triathlon’s are extremely hard especially in heavy rain and in a different country.

Brownlee carried his bike for one kilometre after crashing before running to 42nd place overall, which is still very impressive, 42nd? when running a kilometre carry a bike, that it pretty fantastic don’t you think? This was the first triathlon since collapsing and being carried over the line by his brother Alistair Brownlee at last years series finale in Mexico.  This is something Brownlee has trained for, pushed past all his limits and barriers to succeed and he did that! he finished the race, some athletes would have just ended it there and then. When speaking with BBC News Brownlee justified why he carried on, ‘my first reaction was to get back on the bike and get back riding, but then i got to my bike and the handlebars were pointing in the wrong direction and i couldn’t move it’ after all that he still carried on explaining ‘I still wanted to run, I hadn’t come all this way to Japan not to finish’. Jonny Brownlee ran barefoot carrying his bike for the final half lap of the cycling discipline after crashing, this is something Brownlee should be very proud, he makes me very proud to be British, his determination was insane.

The men and women’s elite races were won by reigning world champions Mario Mola (Spain) and Flora duffy (Bermuda).

Djokovic “Shock Therapy”…

The Shock Therapy that will change Djokovic’s life, will it be worth the risk?

Novak Djokovic is one of the most fantastic tennis players of all time. Djokovic has been running second rank for a very long time with his main completion being Andy Murray of Scotland, United Kingdom. His passion for the sport is amazing. Djokovic has always had a fantastic team behind him, building his career including some of the best coaches in the industry. One being Marian Valda, former professional began coaching Djokovic in 2006, later replaced with Boris Becker, who left late December last year. Marian Valda remained with the team and was there last month at Monte Carlo Masters. Where Djokovic was beaten in the last quarter finals by David Goffin, who was 117 rank.

Djokovic has parted with his coaches and the team as he think’s it will be great for his career however; he does express how grateful he is for all the support he has received from his coaches and team in the previous seasons. In an interview with Djokovic, he expressed to the BBC that he was ‘forever grateful for the friendship, professionalism and commitment to my career goals.’ [BBC Sport, 2017.]

Vajda does think it is a good career move, Djokovic has the support of both coaches Becker and Vajda. When speaking with The Guardian, Vajda expressed his support for Djokovic, ‘I gave everything I could as a coach, I am very proud of the results. We arrived to the point where we all realised we need new energy in the team. Novak Djokovic can do so much more and I’m sure he will’ [The Guardian, 2017]

My Opinion and Conclusion:

I feel this will be a great move for Djokovic, however with his new matches starting now. Will it be a risk which will pay off? We will see. Djokovic has always had brilliant support behind him, which has build him to become one of the best and most feared by newcomers, who will be the new coach to bring his career to the next stage and to the stage that we have all be waiting for. The passion will never leave Djokovic ‘I am a hunter, and my biggest goal is to find the winning spark on the court again.’ BBC Sport 2017. Will getting rid of his backbone coaches and fitness coaches work… ‘A statement on the Serb’s website on Friday confirmed that the coach Marian Vajda, fitness coach Gebhard Phil Gritsch and physiotherapist Miljan Amanovic will end their association.’ The Guardian, 2017. Good luck Djokovic, you’re a fantastic player and we hope to see you succeed even more in your career! Time will tell.

Tips on handling anxiety:

Not one person can tell you how to handle your anxiety,  however we can help each other and see if we see improvement.  I’ve suffered from anxiety since high school,  I wasn’t unpopular or bullied but I struggled with daily things. Such as turning up to school without being ill. And for years and years we never knew what it was. At the age of 16 I decided to move away and start fresh in Cheshire, UK. Best thing I ever did. However my anxiety never went,  I was so scared of feeling ashamed about being poorly but my dad was very supportive, it wasn’t until 2015, I realised it could be mental issue rather than a physical illness,  I suffer from IBS,  Panic Attacks which cause my seizures,  migranes. Asthma and it is nothing compared to some people but it has been a big Hill to climb and I’m no way near the top.  

Some of the ways I have learnt to calm myself when I am anxious are:

Tip 1: 

Be around people you feel safe around, because you may feel like you’re going pass out or hurt yourself

 I try to be around my boyfriend or best friend because they don’t go on about my anxiety, they understand that I just need to concentrate on something else, which moves into tip two.  

Tip 2: concentrate on something else.  

My tip is find a programme you can watch or something to listen to. For example: The Big Bang Theory is closely the only thing which can calm me down I dont know why. But to me The Big Bang Theory is something which makes me relax,  once I relax I tend to feel ten times better.  When I’m out I have Netflix on my phone so I just go on that,  a bit anti-social I know,  but it’s worth it tbh.  

Tip 3: do not feel like you’re dying. Reassure yourself.

The hardest feeling is feeling like you’re never going to get better,  that you’re at the end and you’re in so much pain,  but reassure your self,  talk yourself down. Keep thinking you’re going be ok, that you have been through this before and If you’re around someone who you trust, tell them what is wrong, ask them to make you concentrate on something.  

My previous relationship my anxiety was so bad but I’d always try reassure myself and my partner would laugh and take the piss,  that’s when I knew I couldn’t be around him when I was anxious.  Never feel ashamed (I’m going to write a blog post about feeling ashamed and why you shouldn’t be,  so keep watching) you are strong and that’s all that matters.  

Tip 4: Self-help is a good answer.  

To be totally honest when I went to the local GP about my anxiety,  this was in 2015 at the start,  they didn’t believe me and just put me on some strong tablets. Which doesn’t work,  I’m currently on tablets which affect each other (stupid I know).  Some I decided so look myself,  I went on the NHS website (which I’ll add at the bottom) which gave me booklets on different things. I started speaking with other people who suffered from anxiety or depression, I started making friends again and gradually I started enjoying my life again, even though I’ve suffered badly with anxiety,  I’ve always pushed past it,  I’d be sick for a few hours and then just go out.  I’d prepare knowing I was scared of the next day ahead.  

Tip 5: never give up,  it does get easier.  

I know I sound like a hyperotheic but it’s true,  don’t give up because you have people around you who love you and worship you.  You’re anxiety won’t ever get the better of you,  you may feel like it does however it won’t.  Respect yourself, love yourself and live you’re life. Experience things which you’re anxiety has previously stopped you doing.  Because you deserve to live your life without feeling scared.  

No-one deserves to be unhappy, I’ve learnt the hard way that you should leave the negative people in the past move on and find positive people who want you to be happy and be inspired.  

Be inspired and push your limits.  

The embarrassment of Depression and Anxiety

Everyone always says,  why you so anxious,  just calm down.  You’ll be fine. That isn’t true, my anxiety is always bad but I’ve learnt over the past few months to control it a lot better but I’d never say it’s 100% gone. But having someone you feel happy and safe around does help. It’s scary trying to open up and trust someone again after feeling utterly fucked over,  but the feeling of happiness and knowing you can be yourself around someone is honestly the best feeling. It’s a strange feelings because I’ve never been with someone who actually makes me feel happy without feeling anxious around them.  My depression recently has been bad,  I’ve been poorly with the flu on and off for a month which has limited how much exercise I can do, which is hard for me as working out is my stress relief.  The hardest feeling is feeling complete because then I start overthinking and then I get poorly with my depression and anxiety.  

I didn’t get embarrassed off my depression, however recently I find it harder than ever to admit that it’s bad sometimes,  I feel like I can’t tell anyone because they will judge you and you’ll lose them. I see in their eyes disappointment and it kills me,  I see it in my parents eyes. My boyfriends and it hurts because I don’t want let them down.  😥 but I’m getting better,  I know I’m off to the US which could’ve been a better decision,  I will miss my boyfriend and family but this opportunity is one I couldn’t miss.  It makes me feel proud.

Day 1 of my new training schedule

Day 1 = Legs and Abdominals

So I’ve done a new routine is to try get my body into pushing it’s self again. It’s not a extremely hard programme and it is focusing around toning my abdominals and my oblique’s. Slimming down my legs and arms, but most of all to be happy again.

I started off with legs:

  • Body weight Squats
  • Lunges
  • KB Swing Squats
  • High Knees
  • Jumping Jack

four rounds, 10 reps of each (15 seconds for high knees) with 20 seconds inbetween.

Then abdominals:

  • 3/4 Sit ups [15 reps, 4 sets]
  • Bridge with Kettlebell. [10 reps, 2 sets – hold for 10 seconds, 2 sets – quick]
  • Modified Leg Raises [15 reps, 4 sets]
  • Side Bends with Kettlebell [10 reps, 4 sets – each side]

It wasn’t a very long session, it was just a 30 minutes. It is one session which is going start pushing me, my motivation comes from life. The happiness that comes from working out makes me know that picking sport as a career wasn’t a wrong choice.
